About the Event
Looking for something fun and creative to try? This one-time wheel throwing class is perfect for date night, a hangout with friends, a family outing, or a solo adventure!
Over two hours, you'll learn the basics of throwing a cylinder on the wheel and create up to three pots to keep. We’ll glaze and fire your pieces, which will be ready for pickup about three weeks after class.
Ages: 12 and up

Pro Tip: Short nails make working with clay easier!
The Arts for Lawrence Visual Arts Center is located on the Fort Ben Cultural Campus. Off of 56th Street, you will turn North on Post Road. When you get to the stop sign on Otis, continue North and it’s the second building on your left. It’s a 2-story brick building with teal doors. The class is in the basement. Elevator accessibility is available.

As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities
Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
