About the Event

*⚔️ Stage Combat Workshop ⚔️

Step into the world of stage combat in this one-day, four-hour workshop! Learn the fundamentals of safe and convincing fight choreography while training in a variety of armed and unarmed stage combat techniques.

Led by Andrés Lopez, an advanced actor/combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, this workshop draws on his 15 years of experience teaching stage combat in the U.S. and abroad. Andrés has choreographed fights for productions including Cyrano de Bergerac, The Three Musketeers, Carmen, She Kills Monsters, and Macbeth.

This hands-on workshop is designed for ages 18+ (the instructor is willing to allow ages 16+ if there's interest; please email leciafloyd@artsforlawrence.org) and is limited to 18 participants to ensure personal attention and safety.

Whether you’re an actor, performer, or just curious about stage combat, this is your chance to build skills, confidence, and stage presence. Don’t wait—spots will go quickly!
