About the Event
Class Ages: 12+
Notes: Dress comfortably.Â
We will be making a small, needle felted wool, green sea turtle to celebrate Summer! For those who have made felted animals with us before, this will be a new animal workshop that we have not offered previously. This workshop will provide all the necessary materials and instruction. Materials include wool, felting needles, a felting pad, and beads for the eyes.
Instruction: by Gary Schmitt, one of the current Resident Artists for Arts for Lawrence, who has exhibited his felted wool sculptures locally and nationally.
When you are finished, you can take your sea turtle home with you and give it a special place where you can see it every day. Display suggestion at home: put the turtle on a sandy beach in a small flower pot!

As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities
Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
