Poets Laureate of Lawrence

Liza Hyatt is an art therapist and mental health counselor with advanced skills in assisting trauma survivors. She is also a dreamwork practitioner, storyteller, and adjunct faculty for St. Mary of the Woods Art Therapy Master’s Degree program. A lifelong poet, her 5th book, Wayfaring (Fernwood Press), celebrates ordinary moments of spiritual awakening. She lives in Indianapolis, and enjoys hiking, playing the folk harp, cooking improvisational feasts, and meditating on the screen porch.

Directions: Take E. 56th Street to Post Road. Go North on Post and West on Otis. Poetry readings happen on the 2nd Floor of the Theater. We are next door to The Sterret Center.
