About the Event

Norbert's book, Ida Hagan was released in June 2024. The Ida Hagan story has spanned 14 years of research. Ida is from Dubois County, Jasper, IN, Norbert's home town. Norbert referred to Ida as such a marvelous woman and human being. Norbert wrote me in May 2024 saying that the Ida Hagan poetry collection finally went to press! "The book is printed and feels so good in my hands!". Ida was a young girl in school at the Gelbausen School in April 11, 1898. Ida Hagan lived in the Pinkston Freedom Settlement. Norbert shares the importance of recognizing the life and contributions of Ida Hagan, a Black woman who lived in Dubois County, IN in the early 1900's. As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities
Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
