About the Event
En plein air is a French phrase that means "in the open air".
Plein air painting is painting outdoors, using the landscape and surroundings as your inspiration. It’s a wonderful way to sharpen your observation skills, experiment with light and color, and experience painting in a whole new way.
Join Artist Anita Davis for a relaxed, hands-on painting experience outdoors. Anita will demonstrate how she builds compositions, layers paint, and translates the colors, shapes, and atmosphere of the landscape onto canvas. She’ll also share practical tips for approaching the different possibilities of painting outside.
Anita will demonstrate using acrylic paint, but participants are welcome to work in acrylics, oils, watercolors, or pastels.
All experience levels are welcome!
