About the Event
Join us for "Paint with Your Grand", a special Grandparents Day painting class led by AFL staff. Each grandparent-grandchild pair will collaborate on a single 11x14 canvas to create a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by their memories, favorite activities, or simply the colors that make them smile.
With gentle prompts like “Paint a memory” or “Draw your favorite thing to do together,” this class encourages meaningful connection and conversation through art.
All painting supplies are provided, and each pair will enjoy cookies and refreshments as they work. You’ll also have the option to personalize the back of your canvas with handprints or a short message—a sweet keepsake to cherish for years to come.
Cost: $45 per pair (includes one grandparent and one child).
All ages welcome. No painting experience needed—just a love for creating together.

Refund Policy
As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities
Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
