About the Event 

Join WFYI Live for a Walk & Sketch on Sunday, October 6 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Arts for Lawrence Fort Ben Cultural Campus. In celebration of the upcoming Ken Burns documentary LEONARDO DA VINCI, artist Dana Powell-Smith will lead attendees in a guided, outdoor sketching event. Attendees will discuss da Vinci’s question of “what is our relationship with nature and what does it mean to be human” while learning basic sketching techniques and enjoying the beauty of the Fort Ben Cultural Campus.

Attendees will receive a sketch pad, ebony pencil and eraser to use during the workshop and take home with them. The event is free to attend, sign up today!

As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities

Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
