About the Event

Dates: Wed. June 8th, Wed. June 15th, Wed. June 22nd, & Wed. June 29th from 7-9 PM.

Class Ages: 8+

Notes: We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. If possible, cut nails short for the session; it makes working with clay easier!

In Intro to Wheel Throwing, you will learn throwing techniques and will be guided through the process of creating a piece from start to finish. If you are brand new to clay and still struggle with centering or throwing a cylinder, this class is for you! Registration includes tools, 25lbs of clay, glaze, and firing. Students may purchase additional clay and open studio time for a nominal fee.

The AFL Ceramics studio equipment, including eight pottery wheels and a kiln, is generously supported by the Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation Inc.
