A beginner class for Procreate digital imaging software on iPad. iPads with Procreate software will be provided for in-class use only. The Procreate software app is available online for only $9.99 and it is recommended that students buy the app (but it is not required for this class). Experience with other digital imaging software (for example Photoshop) is not necessary but for those who have, we will be discussing similarities and differences. We will be introducing the basic tools, where to find them, and exploring their functions. Beyond that, we will often be talking about strategies for setting up layers as well as the alpha lock function. We will not be focussing on developing any finished, self-designed characters but instead concentrating on the software itself and familiarizing ourselves with its capabilities. Instruction: by Gary Schmitt, one of the current Resident Artists for Arts for Lawrence, who has worked with and taught digital art and design for many years.
