A fun night for storytellers of every skill level, designed as an after-work event to relax and unwind. This month, the theme is "Bloom." This event is FREE. Enjoy the stories in-person or via live-stream.

If you want to tell a story, send an email to Ellen@storytellingarts.org or just show up. If you just want to watch the stories from the comfort of home, we'll be live-streaming the slam on YouTube.com/StorytellingArts.

Rules of the Slam: Stories must be up to five minutes long, personal, true, told in first person, and based on the theme, which can be interpreted narrowly or broadly. We just ask tellers not to use props or read from the page. Prizes will be awarded to the top three tellers. 

Note: Parts or all of your story may be posted on our social media or YouTube channel.

Refund Policy

As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities

Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
