About the Event
The latest More Than Corn film, which features Garcia's Gardens, will premiere on September 10th at 6pm at Arts for Lawrence's Theater at the Fort! This film is FREE to attend, but tickets will need to be reserved.
Garcia's Gardens: A More Than Corn Story follows the Garcias, whose small backyard garden grew into a thriving farm bringing fresh produce to tables all over town. But this isn’t just a story about vegetables. It’s about roots - the ones in the ground and the ones that connect us through generations. Drawing from his Mexican-American heritage, Daniel carries forward family traditions of growing, cooking, and gathering - showing how the everyday rituals of food and farming can pass down stories, keep culture alive, and bring a whole community together.
