About the Event
Classic to Contemporary Program
Candide Overture
Choreographed by David Hochoy
This joyous piece perfectly captures the spirit of Leonard Bernstein's familiar music. You'll be uplifted and energized by the dancers’ performance of Hochoy’s musical theater-inspired choreography.
Ravel Piano Concerto
Choreographed by David Hochoy
Inspired by the sounds of the American jazz movement, Maurice Ravel’s Piano Concerto is a virtuosic balance of classical and jazz genres. Hochoy uses both classical and jazz dance vocabulary to create a world existing in perfect harmony with the music. At times romantic and poignant, other times fast-paced and fun– this dance will entertain and inspire from start to finish.
Feeling Good
Choreographed by David Hochoy & Stuart Lewis
This suite of dances is set to the vocal stylings of Michael Bublé. Choreographers Hochoy and Lewis have taken these longtime favorite songs and reimagined them in a contemporary interpretation, much like Michael Bublé does with his music. Song selections include When I Fall in Love, You Don’t Know Me, and of course, Feeling Good. By the end, you'll be on your feet cheering for an encore!
