Students will design an original Comic Book from scratch. Students may work individually, pairs, or small groups. Be part of an amazing creative program that connects with artists around the world!

About the Event

The Comic Book Project will meet at Arts for Lawrence once per week, on Mondays from 10/5/2026 to 10/26/2026.


Dates: Every Monday in October

October 5, 12, 19, and 26


Time: 5:30 - 6:30pm-7:30pm (Open to students Ages 9-14)

    Registration for Student (Ages 9-14): $25 (includes the cost for supplies) Key Steps of the Process: 1. Learn how to use lines and shapes to create characters, panels, and scenes. Use the language of comics to write dialogue and captions. 2. Design your comic using the panels provided and the space to create your cover. Be creative, and let the world hear your story! What to have on the first day of class: Water bottle, comfortable shoes.

As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities

Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
