About the Event

In a new partnership with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music! Consisting of new and returning section members, this ensemble of eight cellists formed in the 2022–2023 season brings a fresh perspective on classical music arrangements to the city of Indianapolis. This event will surely stir the senses with entrancing arrangements of classical music favorites by composers such as Beethoven, Fauré, Wagner, and Bizet. The program will also feature a world premiere of Le Banjo by American composer Louis Moreau Gottshalk, which was arranged specifically for this ensemble by Marc Donatelle, the father of ISO cellist Nick Donatelle.
