About the Event
Join the City of Lawrence, in partnership with Arts for Lawrence, for the annual Black History Month Celebration.
This special evening is a tribute to resilience, creativity, and unity, bringing our community together to honor the past and look forward with hope and pride. Through music, dance, visual art, spoken word, and more, the celebration uplifts Black history, culture, and artistic expression.
All are welcome. Whether you’re attending with family, friends, or on your own, we invite you to be part of this meaningful and inspiring community gathering.

Refund Policy
As a reminder, all class registrations and ticket sales are final. In the event of a cancellation, tickets may be exchanged for another performance date or event. If a class is canceled, refunds or exchanges will be made available to registered participants.

Parking / Finding Our Facilities
Parking for Arts for Lawrence is anywhere next to the blue stars on the map below. Amphitheater parking is also available EXCEPT during concerts and festivals. Parking is also available next to 56th Street after 6:30 PM. The parking lot next to our facility is NOT for Theater or FBCC parking.
